ArtWeek 2011 is almost here and there is no better way to explore the exhibits than on a bike. 

Art Week Auckland and NextBike have partnered to put on three different tours of Auckland art galleries during Art Week (13-23rd October). These are free tours and will visit the best-known galleries in three areas as well as those slightly off the beaten track.

Saturday 15 October: Uptown Loop

Meet 1pm at Whitespace gallery, 12 Crummer Rd. Leaves by 2, cruises the ridgetops and ends in same location around 6pm.

Tuesday 18 October: East Ride

Meet from 5pm at Hum Salon, 123 Grafton Rd. Leaves by 6, visits Newmarket late night and ends in Parnell around 9:30.

Saturday 22 October: Waitemata

Meet 1pm at Aotea Square, Queen Street. Leaves by 2, parades through town then ferries to cluster of galleries in Devonport.
Free 1-way ferry included.

These are glamorous and cool art rides with safety staff and up to 20 free bikes for those who cannot bring their own.
